What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your browser or device. Similar technologies, such as tags and pixels, do a related job. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Your choices
When you first visit thinkx.ie, we show a cookie banner. Only strictly necessary cookies are set until you make a choice. Google Analytics does not load unless you agree. On the banner you can:
- Accept all to allow analytics cookies;
- Reject all to allow only strictly necessary cookies; or
- open Cookie settings to choose. Analytics is off until you switch it on.
We save your choice for 180 days, and then ask you again.

We do not use advertising or social media cookies on thinkx.ie.
Google Analytics tells us how our website is used, but it does not tell us who you are. Google does receive your IP address and a device identifier, which count as personal data. We keep Google Analytics data for [Google Analytics retention setting].
Other services our pages use
Our pages load files from cdn.jsdelivr.net and cdnjs.cloudflare.com. Those services receive your IP address so that they can deliver the files. They do not set cookies on thinkx.ie.
Why we're allowed to use cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies because the site needs them to work. We use analytics cookies only with your consent, as the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336 of 2011) and the GDPR require. For UK visitors, the equivalent rules are in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
Google is based in the United States. Data collected through Google Analytics may be transferred there and processed there, protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. See our Privacy Notice for details.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, and it is as easy as giving it:
- Click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, change your choice and save. You can also choose Reject all.
- When you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops loading, and we remove the analytics cookies our site set.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, our forms may stop working.
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything collected while your consent was in place.
